Background About Women’s Affairs Center (WAC): 

 Women’s Affairs Center (WAC) is a women knowledge-based center playing an innovative and catalytic role in empowering women and advocating women's rights and gender equality in the Palestinian sustainable development process. Its mission reflects that it is an independent and non-profit Palestinian NGO with the purpose of empowering women and advocating women’s rights and gender equality through capacity development, information and innovative research and advocacy programs. While implementing its strategy to fulfill its vision, WAC is guided by international human rights principles including empowerment and participation; equality and non-discrimination; and accountability to ensure justice and dignity for women. 

 About “Economic Empowerment for Gaza Entrepreneurs 2023” Project:  

WAC is implementing the “Economic Empowerment for Gaza Entrepreneurs 2023 (GoPinky)” project which is funded by DanChurchAid/Norwegian Church Aid (DCA/NCA). The project aims at enhancing economic empowerment and increasing the prosperity for low-income young women and men in the Gaza Strip through joint approaches that support innovation and entrepreneurship to overcome challenges that impede achieving progress towards sustainable economic development. It targets unemployed young female graduates and young Gazan entrepreneurs. It provides support to young female graduates to acquire digital skills and competencies required in the labor market and to young entrepreneurs to create new innovative businesses, which will, in turn, create employment opportunities and address market-related challenges. 

 Assignment Objective: 
WAC is considering the selection of highly qualified Freelancing Platforms and Social Media Channels Trainers to equip individuals with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in the world of freelancing and effectively utilize social media channels for professional purposes. 

 Target Group: 
50-60 females from different cities of the Gaza Strip, divided into 2 groups. Each group is allotted 45 training hours. 

 Key Tasks and Responsibilities: 
The mentor will be required to carry out the following tasks under the direct supervision of the project coordinator: 
- Analyze the abilities of each beneficiary in order to implement the best training methodology.
- Develop pre/post tests to determine the training effectiveness.
-  Train beneficiaries on the following topics but not limited to:
Freelancing Platforms:
* Introduction to Freelancing
* Platform Navigation
* Profile Optimization
* Proposal Writing
* Client Communication and Collaboration
* Building a Freelance Brand
* Financial Management and payment gates
* Legal Considerations
*Time Management and Productivity
- Social Media Channels:
* Introduction to Social Media
* Content Creation and Curation
* Social Media Strategy
* Community Management
* Social Media Advertising
* Analytics and Insights
* Marketing
* Crisis Management
* Trends and Platform Updates
- These training topics aim to equip individuals with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in freelancing and effectively utilize social media platforms. Assessments and Progress Tracking: Evaluating participants' language proficiency and soft skills through various assessment methods, such as online tests, assignments, or video submissions. Tracking participants' progress throughout the training program and providing feedback to support their development.
- Continuous Support: Be available for additional support and consultation beyond the   
designated training hours, within reason. Respond to queries, address concerns, and offer guidance as needed. Foster a positive and collaborative learning environment that encourages ongoing engagement and learning.
- Documentation: Keep accurate records of the training hours provided to each entrepreneur. Maintain documentation of their progress, achievements, and areas for improvement. Prepare reports or summaries as required by the consultancy contract or stakeholders.
- Professionalism and Ethical Conduct: Maintain professionalism throughout the training process. Understand and adhere to the policies and procedures of WAC.    - Conduct Final Presentations for beneficiaries.

 Requirements: 
- Each applicant is expected to have:
- Have a university degree in a relevant field.
- Have a proven working experience in freelancing training.
- Proficiency in the English language.
- Strong training and facilitation skills.
- Knowledge of learning and development principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Assessment and evaluation abilities.
- Commitment to continuous learning and adaptability.
- Organizational and time management skills.
- Education and certification (advantageous).
- Skilled at providing positive and constructive feedback and challenging assumptions as required. 
- Excellent reporting and formal writing skills in both English and Arabic. 
- Good knowledge in MS Office applications, virtual tools such as Zoom, Skype,
- Google classroom, WhatsApp groups … etc. 
- Commitment to the mandate and values of WAC to help youth to help themselves. 

Deliverables: 
The trainer has to deliver the following: 
- A comprehensive final report in English, including but not limited to an executive summary, methodology, implemented activities, results, lessons learnt, success stories, risks analysis and recommendations for the intervention at the near and long-term developmental level. Validation of the submitted report from the Project - - Coordinator is a must.  
- A final report of the evaluation and recommendations for beneficiaries.
- Training methodology detailing the training modules outline.
- Training Material.
- Media coverage materials and rushes. 

Timing: 
A total of 45 training hours should be delivered over a period of 3 weeks. The training is expected to take place from August to September. The work timeline may be altered by the project and ICT – WAC team at its discretion. A high commitment should be granted to the timeframe and any change in the timeframe should be discussed, justified and validated by WAC. Any setback occurs affecting on the cycle of the sessions due to the failure of trainer; WAC reserves the right to terminate the contracts without offering and compensation.   

 Application Process: 
Interested applicants should hand over technical and financial offers, as below: 
- The trainer shall submit a technical offer including but not limited: (Brief Bio highlighting areas of professional experience, training Action Plan detailing topics and hours for each topic, approach and methodology, timeframe with clear details concerning how the component to be executed).  
- Financial offer shall be submitted only in USD currency. (Use the enclosed template!) 
Closing date for receiving offers is on Sunday 30/07/2023, at 15:00 PM (local time of the Palestinian Territory). Offers must be submitted by hand on WAC office - 
Procurement Department.
