 Request for Soft Skills and English for Business Trainer  (Companies/Individuals) 

:Background About Women’s Affairs Center (WAC)

 Women’s Affairs Center (WAC) is a women knowledge-based center playing an innovative and catalytic role in empowering women and advocating women's rights and gender equality in the Palestinian sustainable development process. Its mission reflects that it is an independent and non-profit Palestinian NGO with the purpose of empowering women and advocating women’s rights and gender equality through capacity development, information and innovative research and advocacy programs. While implementing its strategy to fulfill its vision, WAC is guided by international human rights principles including empowerment and participation; equality   and non-discrimination; and accountability to ensure justice and dignity for women.

 Assignment Objective: 

WAC is considering the selection of highly qualified Soft Skills and English for Business Trainers to enhance participants' soft skills and English language proficiency in a business context through engaging and tailored training programs, ultimately enabling them to effectively communicate, collaborate, and succeed in professional settings.

Target Group: 

- 50-60 females divided into 2 groups from different cities of the Gaza Strip.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

The mentor will be required to carry out the following tasks under the direct supervision of the project coordinator: 

- Analyze the abilities of each beneficiary in order to implement the best training methodology.

- Develop pre/post tests to determine the training effectiveness.

- Train beneficiaries on the following topics:

- CV Writing.

- Microsoft Office Package.

- Proficiency in presentation skills in Arabic and English, whether in face-to-face or video recording scenarios, which qualify them to deliver impactful messages and achieve desired outcomes.

- Client Acquisition and Communication: Actively seeking clients and establishing communication with potential clients who require soft skills and English training. - - - This involves networking, marketing, and pitching services to secure training opportunities.

- Time Management and Project Delivery: Managing multiple client projects simultaneously and ensuring timely delivery of training programs. Organizing schedules, setting realistic deadlines, and maintaining clear communication with clients to meet project expectations.

- Continuous Professional Development: Engaging in continuous learning and professional development to stay updated with the latest trends, methodologies, and best practices in soft skills training and English language teaching. Attending webinars, workshops, and industry conferences to enhance skills and expand knowledge.

- Client Relationship Management: Building strong relationships with clients by maintaining regular communication, understanding their evolving needs, and providing exceptional service. Seeking feedback and incorporating client suggestions for continuous improvement.

- Business Administration: Handling administrative tasks such as invoicing, contract management, and record-keeping. Managing financial aspects of freelance work, including negotiating rates and ensuring timely payment. 

- Assessments and Progress Tracking: Evaluating participants' language proficiency and soft skills through various assessment methods, such as online tests, assignments, or video submissions. Tracking participants' progress throughout the training program and providing feedback to support their development.

- Continuous Support: Be available for additional support and consultation beyond the designated training hours, within reason. Respond to queries, address concerns, and offer guidance as needed. Foster a positive and collaborative learning environment that encourages ongoing engagement and learning.

- Documentation: Keep accurate records of the training hours provided to each entrepreneur. Maintain documentation of their progress, achievements, and areas for improvement. Prepare reports or summaries as required by the consultancy contract or stakeholders.

- Professionalism and Ethical Conduct: Maintain professionalism throughout the training process. Understand and adhere to the policies and procedures of WAC.    

-  Conduct Final Presentations for beneficiaries.

-  Perform other duties as may be assigned by the project coordinator concerning the mission. 

 Application Process: 

 Interested applicants should hand over technical and financial offers, as below: 

- The trainer shall submit a technical offer including but not limited: (Brief Bio highlighting areas of professional experience, training Action Plan detailing topics and hours for each topic, approach and methodology, timeframe with clear details concerning how the component to be executed).  

 - Financial offer shall be submitted only in USD currency. (Use the enclosed template!) 

- Closing date for receiving offers is on Sunday 16/07/2023, at 15:00 PM (local time of the Palestinian Territory). Offers must be submitted by hand on WAC office - 

Procurement Department.
